Surah Al-Mulk: Awareness of the Universe and a Message for Contemporary Life

Surah Al-Mulk is one of the Meccan surahs that opens with the praise of Allah Almighty: “Blessed is He in whose hand is the Kingdom, and He is Able to do all things.” It is a surah that reminds man of God’s omnipotence, that the life of this world is a test, and that true salvation is through good deeds and firm faith.

1. Proving God’s Absolute Kingship: The surah affirms that the entire universe is under God’s authority, and nothing goes beyond His will.
2. Meditation on the Creation of the Heavens: An invitation to reflect on the subtle cosmic order that signifies the greatness of the Creator.
3. Warning against Negligence: The surah describes the case of the disbelievers who did not respond to the truth and shows their fate in the Hereafter.
