The Governor of Khartoum Receives the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society

The Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, received, on Wednesday, at the Khartoum State Government Buildings, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Dr. Abdulrahman Bilal Beleid, along with his accompanying delegation, which included committee member Mohamed Adam Arabi, Dr. Khalil Sarbel, and the director of the Society’s branch in Khartoum State, Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Ali. They participated in the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Emergency and Crisis Management in Khartoum State, chaired by the Governor of Khartoum.

The committee expressed its appreciation for the positions of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society. The delegation of the association provided in-kind support to the state to enhance its efforts in relieving those affected by the war. Beleid stressed that the association will harness its relations with international organizations to support the state.

The delegation of the Central Committee inspected the buildings of the General Secretariat of the Society in the center of Khartoum, and reviewed the extent of the damage caused to the buildings, and continued its program of visit to the capital, Khartoum, during Eid, and inspected the free health day at the Al-Darushab South Health Center, which was organized by the mobile clinics of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society – Khartoum State Branch, with the support of the Norwegian Red Cross.

During his tour of the center’s various departments, he received an enlightenment from the medical staff, stressing the importance of reducing the waiting time for patients, further improving the organization within the center, and providing more comfort to the beneficiaries.

The Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society Khartoum State Branch praised the visit of the Chairman of the Central Committee, pointing out that the choice to start a service health facility reflects the interest of the Society’s leadership in the health issues of citizens.
