Minister of Justice: Stresses the Importance of Preventing Illegal Collection in Combating Corruption and Preserving Public Funds

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Darf, Chairman of the Committee for the Prevention of Illegal Collection, confirmed the formation of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 154 of 2025. The committee has concluded its administrative arrangements and practical plan, and its work is proceeding at a steady pace, pointing out that the technical committee for the prevention of illegal collection includes all relevant authorities in its membership.
Dr. Darf explained that the tasks of the committee are to review the state fees on goods and services, ensure their legality, determine the legislative intersections between the center and the states, work to remove illegal collection points through national roads, and combat avoidance and corruption. The committee also aims to prevent collection outside the budget in the center and the states.
The Minister pointed out that the Technical Committee will start the field tour of the states on the first of next February in the eastern sector, which includes the states of the Red Sea, Kassala, and Gedaref.
This will be followed by the northern sector, which includes the states of the River Nile and the North. The tour will continue to cover the rest of the states.
