The Governor of Khartoum Honors the Sudanese Physicians Association in the United States (SAPA)

The Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, honored yesterday the delegation of the Sudanese Physicians Association in the United States (SAPA), headed by Dr. Yasser Yousef Al-Amin, in appreciation of their great efforts in supporting the health sector and rehabilitating a number of hospitals in the state during the war.

The governor stressed that SAPA has provided a journey of giving that will remain present in the memory of the Sudanese citizen, praising the national role played by the people of Sudan abroad in standing by their people. He added that SAPA is free to determine the size of the interventions it wishes to implement within health reconstruction projects.

The Acting Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman Mohammed Al-Amin, explained that the Ministry discussed with the SAPA delegation a number of hospitals that need to be rehabilitated and provided with devices and equipment, appreciating the SAPA ‘s response to the Ministry’s proposals.

The head and members of the SAPA delegation stressed that what they are doing is a national duty towards their country and that they consider themselves partners in the process of reconstruction and rehabilitation, noting that they will continue to attract support from the United States after they have seen broad popular sympathy for the Sudanese people.

The Governor of Khartoum honored the SAPA delegation for their brilliant efforts and remarkable achievements in the reconstruction of medical institutions in the state, stressing that their work will remain an imprint on the history books.
