Prime Minister Inspects Khartoum International Airport
As part of his inspection tour of service institutions related to serving citizens, His Excellency the Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, visited Khartoum International Airport today. He was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali Mohamed Ali; the Director-General of Sudan Airports Company Limited, Lieutenant General Engineer Sir Al-Khatim Babiker Al-Tayeb; the Director-General of Khartoum Airport, Ayman Afifi; and the Head of the Khartoum Airport Rehabilitation Team, Major General Mubarak Othman.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation inspected the various sections of Khartoum International Airport, reviewed the ongoing rehabilitation and improvement efforts, and examined the future development plan.
His Excellency the Prime Minister congratulated all the people of Sudan on the rehabilitation of Khartoum International Airport, describing it as a great success achieved in a short period.
He also commended His Excellency Head of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan.
His Excellency praised the efforts of the dedicated personnel who oversaw the rehabilitation of Khartoum International Airport and expressed his satisfaction and reassurance regarding the completion of all airport operations.
Dr. Kamil Idris appealed to citizens residing abroad and in other states to voluntarily return to their historic capital, Khartoum, and to their homes. He assured them that air traffic would resume in the coming days and reiterated his gratitude to all those involved in the airport’s rehabilitation.
He affirmed the government’s commitment to the continued improvement and development of Khartoum International Airport.
For his part, the Director General of Sudan Airports Company Limited, Lieutenant General Engineer Sir Al-Khatim Babiker Al-Tayeb, expressed his pleasure at the Prime Minister’s visit, considering it an incentive to continue improving and developing performance. He pledged to dedicate all their resources to serving the Sudanese people.
