PM Directs Commitment to Higher Education Development Package

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris directed the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to adhere to the higher education development package.

This came during his meeting yesterday evening with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Mudawi Musa.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the progress of implementing his directives regarding the organization of the higher education development package.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of implementing his directives regarding the procedures for free admission to the top 100 students in the secondary school certificate examinations for the 2025-2026 academic year at Sudanese public universities.

He also directed assistance in facilitating the return of displaced students from outside Sudan. The meeting also addressed the status of private universities resuming their operations in Sudan.

The meeting affirmed the necessity of aligning university research in higher education institutions with the priorities of the relevant ministries.
