PM Arrives in Khartoum and Addresses Public Gathering in Khartoum North

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Al-Tayeb Idris arrived in Khartoum this morning (Sunday), accompanied by a number of ministers, signaling the resumption of the federal government’s activities, dubbed the “Government of Hope,” from the capital, Khartoum.

He was received at the entrance to Khartoum North by the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Othman Hamza, several ministers and state officials, and a large crowd of Khartoum North residents.

Sudan News Agency reported that Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris announced, while addressing a public gathering in Al-Kadru Square, north of Khartoum North, the return of the entire “Government of Hope” to Khartoum to resume its activities starting today.

The Prime Minister commended the people of Khartoum State for their patience, resilience, and patriotism despite the difficult circumstances the country is facing, promising imminent complete victory.

He also pledged to provide more services in health and education, improve electricity, water, and sanitation services, and enhance citizens’ livelihoods and security, in addition to working to support the reopening and rehabilitation of universities.
