Member of the Sovereignty Council inaugurates Ahmed Qasim Hospital

Khartoum witnessed the opening of the hospital in an official ceremony attended by Lieutenant General Marine Engineer Advisor Ibrahim Jaber, Member of the Sovereignty Council and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Creation of the Appropriate Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State; Federal Minister of Health Prof. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim; Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza; Minister of Culture, Media and Tourism, Khaled Al-Eiser; and Deputy Head of the Judiciary Maulan Munir Mohamed.
Member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Marine Engineer Advisor Ibrahim Jaber, stressed that Ahmed Qasim Hospital represents a success story and national pride, praising the medical cadres of the “White Army.”
He announced his commitment to build two floors for the pediatric department and called on Sudanese specialists abroad to return and participate in the reconstruction of the country
The Federal Minister of Health, Prof. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, stressed that the hospital represents the specificity of being a reference hospital, announcing the imminent arrival of the magnetic resonance machine, the oxygen station, and the preparation of cases for the beginning of kidney transplantation, in addition to catheterization. He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to provide the necessary support to the medical staff at Ahmed Qasim Hospital for six months for the project of returning to Khartoum.
The Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Khaled Al-Aiser, considered the occasion special, as it was his first official activity after the government’s return to Khartoum.
The Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, described today as a day of thanksgiving to God, having mercy on the martyrs of duty, and saluting the armed forces and the forces supporting them. He stressed that the great support from the member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, was essential in the return of the hospital.
The director of the hospital, Dr. Huda Hamed, explained that the hospital has started the first phase of rehabilitation operations after the violations and looting to which it was subjected at the hands of the Militias.
