Health Minister Oversees Preparations for Launch of Largest Free Prosthetics Camp in Dongola

Federal Health Minister Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim oversaw the final preparations for the launch of the prosthetics medical camp in Dongola, organized by the Advisory Council for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in cooperation with the Dongola Prosthetics Center and Khartoum Teaching Hospital.

During his visit to the Dongola Prosthetics Center, the Minister confirmed in a press statement that the camp, scheduled to open soon, is the result of joint coordination with India. It aims to provide free prosthetics to 600 patients, in addition to training and qualifying Sudanese medical personnel, thus contributing to the transfer of expertise and the localization of prosthetics manufacturing within the country.

He pointed out that this initiative represents a qualitative leap in medical rehabilitation services and is an important step in supporting people with mobility impairments and improving their quality of life, as well as strengthening international health cooperation.
