Tuberculosis Expert Visits the National Medical Supplies Fund

Tuberculosis expert, Dr. Sabira, visited the National Medical Supplies Fund accompanied by the Director of Sudan’s National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP), Dr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim Abdel Aziz Al-Sarraj, with the aim of getting to know the Fund and how to manage the medical supply in general and tuberculosis medicines in particular.

The expert was introduced to the human resources management system and the inventory management system, from receiving the items and going through all the steps until they entered custody. She also got to know the distribution system and was assured of the conformity of the stock of genetic testing devices for tuberculosis and the treatment varieties of resistant tuberculosis between the system and the actual one in the warehouse.

Sabira praised the system, the knowledge and familiarity of the workers with the tasks, their response to all inquiries, the speed of extracting information from the system, and the absence of interruptions despite the loss of all the stock a few days after the beginning of the war, due to the presence of safety stocks in the Fund’s branches in the states.
