The training workshop for the introduction of the health information system electronically concludes

The National Program for Reproductive Health and the Department of Health Information, Monitoring, and Evaluation at the Federal Ministry of Health concluded the training workshop on the Health Information System electronically at the hall of the Eastern University of Science and Technology in Kassala.

The Acting Director of Maternal and Child Health, Ismail Al-Adani, considered the investigation of maternal and child deaths electronically as an achievement that contributes to improving performance, noting that the selection of the three hospitals in Kassala is important for easy access.

Dr. Majed Al-Nour from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) stressed that reducing maternal mortality requires first identifying the causes of death and then implementing interventions to prevent them, praising the Health Information Department at the Ministry, which helps in expanding the experiment and implementating it in the rest of the states, Pointing out that he praised the success of the experiment investigating and responding to maternal deaths in humanitarian situations during the war in Sudan through a global conference.

The workshop aimed to review the report from the year, adding that the most prominent recommendations are the use of mobile SIM cards among the tools to report deaths, the provision of TAP devices for central personnel, and the sharing of the report with medical directors in hospitals to ensure the speed of decision-making, as well as the dissemination of the experience to the states.
