The Sudanese Red Crescent Society participates in the Great Winter Emergency Campaign to Control Disease Vectors

The Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society – Khartoum State Branch, Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Ali, accompanied by a large number of the Society’s volunteers, participated with the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State – General Directorate of Preventive Medicine, on Monday in the inauguration of the Great Winter Emergency Initiative to Control Disease Vectors.
The inauguration was held under the supervision of Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State and the Acting Minister, under the patronage of Ahmed Osman Hamza, Governor of Khartoum State, in honor of Lieutenant General Engineer Advisor Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Creation of a Return Environment for the Citizens of Khartoum State, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Khartoum Bahri locality, The Executive Director of the East Nile Locality and a number of partners participated in activities that included vector control campaigns and community health awareness as part of efforts to reduce the spread of seasonal diseases and improve the health and environmental situation.
The participating entities stressed the importance of concerted official and community efforts, as well as enhancing the role of volunteers in responding to health emergencies in a way that contributes to protecting the health of citizens and creating a safe environment for the return and stability of Khartoum State residents.
The Director of the Red Crescent in Khartoum State, Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Ali, expressed his happiness at participating in the inauguration of the Great Winter Emergency to Control Disease Vectors. He stated that this important initiative reflects the spirit of partnership and integration between state institutions and national organizations, foremost of which is the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State.
