The Secretary-General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society concludes his visit to Khartoum

The Secretary-General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Mr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb Suleiman, concluded the program of his visit to Khartoum State and met with Eng. Mohamed Kartkila Saleh, Minister of Federal Government and Rural Development, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry and several officials of the Society.
During the meeting, they discussed the challenges facing the work of the branches of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in the states and ways to address them to ensure the continuity of humanitarian services. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination and institutional cooperation between the Society’s branches, state governors, and relevant authorities in a way that contributes to improving the response and effectiveness of humanitarian interventions.
The Secretary-General of the Society affirmed their commitment to the nationaland humanitarian role in providing support and assistance to citizens affected by the war in various states, especially in the fields of urgent relief, health, water and environmental sanitation, in addition to supporting agricultural activities.
Mohamed Kartkila Saleh praised the great role played by the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in providing services to citizens, stressing the Ministry’s support to strengthen the partnership with the Society and facilitate the work of its branches in the states in order to serve the communities affected by the crises.
