Sudan Submits Strongly Worded Memorandum to Human Rights Commission Regarding Kalogi Massacre

The Permanent Mission of Sudan to the United Nations in Geneva submitted a strongly worded memorandum on Saturday, circulating the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation regarding the horrific massacre perpetrated by a terrorist militia. The militia targeted a kindergarten in the city of Kalogi with missiles fired from a drone, and then followed up by targeting those attempting to rescue the victims at the city’s rural hospital.

According to a press release issued by the Permanent Mission in Geneva, the brutal attack resulted in the deaths of 79 civilians, including 43 children and 6 women. The number of wounded reached 38.

According to multiple sources, the death toll from the Kalogi massacre had risen to 114.

The UN mission confirmed in its memorandum that the militia had met all the criteria and requirements for being designated a brutal terrorist group, and that the international community should not delay any longer in doing so.
