Measles and Rubella Vaccination Campaign to Begin in Khartoum State Next Monday

Khartoum State Ministry of Health announces the launch of a measles and rubella vaccination campaign, which will run from December 22 to 27, 2025, targeting children aged 9 months to 15 years.
Dr. Hassan Bashir, Director of the General Administration for Health Promotion, explained that the campaign will be implemented in the localities of Khartoum, Omdurman, Khartoum North, Ombada, East Nile, and Jabal Aulia, through health centers, fixed units, and mobile teams, as part of its efforts to increase vaccination coverage and reduce the spread of infectious diseases.
He emphasized that the campaign comes within the framework of the National Expanded Program on Immunization and aims to protect children from the risks and complications of measles and rubella, and to promote public health in the community.
The Ministry of Health urged all parents to promptly bring their targeted children to the nearest vaccination center during the campaign period, and to contribute to its success in order to protect children’s health and the safety of the community.
