Khartoum Health Ministry and Italian EMERGENCY Organization Discuss Strengthening Cooperation and Continuity of Medical Services

The Director General of the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, Acting Minister Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Muhammad Al-Amin, met today (Tuesday) with a delegation from the Italian EMERGENCY Organization, which manages Al-Salam Hospital for Cardiac Surgery in the Soba suburb, to discuss strengthening cooperation between the state and the Italian organization.
According to the Sudan News Agency, the visit aimed at following up the progress of health projects implemented by the organization within Khartoum State, explore ways to enhance cooperation with health authorities, discuss the challenges facing healthcare in Khartoum, and establish mechanisms for joint coordination to ensure the uninterrupted provision of medical and humanitarian services.
During the meeting, the delegation from the organization, headed by Country Director Matteo D’Alonzo and including Regional Director Roberto Cordestán and Public Relations Director Ali Nasser, affirmed its deep commitment to supporting the national health system and its keenness to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Health to serve patients. They noted the opening of the organization’s emergency pediatric center in the Mayo area and the ongoing coordination between the Ministry and the Peace Heart Center to receive referred patients.
For his part, Dr. Fath Al-Rahman welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the Ministry’s readiness to provide all forms of support and facilities to ensure the success of joint health programs. He affirmed that the Ministry’s doors are open to the organization and that health authorities are ready to provide any assistance.
