Kartoum Governor and the Director General of Police Oversee the Arrest of a Major Criminal Network Involved in Counterfeiting Currency and Official Documents
Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, oversaw the arrest of a major criminal network involved in counterfeiting currency and official documents. The operation was carried out by the Federal Operations Investigations Department, accompanied by the Director General of Police, Lieutenant General Amir Abdel Moneim, and in the presence of the Khartoum State Police Director, Lieutenant General Dr. Siraj Al-Din Mansour, as well as members of the East Nile Local Security Committee.
The Governor praised the high capabilities of the security forces in confronting all security threats that disrupt the lives of citizens, especially in areas experiencing security vulnerabilities. He emphasized that the situation is being handled with firmness and high professionalism.
The Governor stated that the commendable efforts of the police in reducing crime send a strong message to anyone who doubts their ability to fully perform their role in maintaining security and stability in the coming period.
The Governor also appealed to citizens to play their part by reporting sleeper cells and revealing the locations of stolen goods through cooperation with the various security agencies, which contributes to strengthening community security.
For his part, the Director General of Police Forces, Lieutenant General Amir Abdel Moneim, affirmed that the next phase requires full coordination and cooperation among all security agencies to uncover and confront security threats, emphasizing that the Police Command places these matters among its highest priorities.
The Director General also reiterated his support for the various police departments and their empowerment to fulfill their role in protecting citizens’ property and working to solve crimes as quickly as possible.
In turn, the Director of Federal Operations Police, Major General Amir Abdel Rahman Barkia, revealed a number of operations and tasks carried out by the Federal Police within the framework of combating organized crime and monitoring and tracking the movements of criminal gangs.
He pointed to the efforts that resulted in the seizure of several locations used for counterfeiting currency in Al-Haj Yousef, 15th Street in Al-Amarat, and another location in Sabreen Market.
Major General Barkia affirmed the continuation of security campaigns and the ongoing work to apprehend all those who threaten the security and safety of citizens.
