Is it a Day or a Night Mosquito ?

Amar, a young man in his late 40s. An industrious person who carries a 6 to 9 job. Most of his neighbouring guys hardly think of his presence since his job takes him most of the day hours.

He is so busy all the days of the week. His continuous work makes him even to mix up the days of the week. Hardly he could differentiate between a Tuesday or a Wednesday.

His tedious job usually puts him to bed the moment he comes. Hardly he could “say” and “do” his prayers and then to throw his ragged body into his bed and then into a sounding and snoring sleep he indulges into.

All the stories and the incidents of every night is to be told in detail to him in the morning since he is not at all to be awake after 9:30.

In that fast sleep he couldn’t feel the stings of the night insects.Only in the morning he could see the rashes on his body , particularly about the cheecks and the neck.

His friends, jokingly, say: “these mosquitoes sucked all your blood”. He then nods his head in agreeing yes. In fact, the mosquito find in him a great source of feast. In turn, he himself turned to be a super-king of “Malaria”. He gets it, not to exaggrate, every fortnight.

The terrible one has just come.The big Malaria! His temperature has shot to the highest degree.The thermometer has read all its last marks; convulsions, spasms, and cramps he started to undergo.

Alas ! In checking his pulse and counting the palpitations of his heart, the attendance felt and seemed to be worrying a bit. “He may kick the bucket”, they whispered.

The drama then began with the diagnosis of the doctor.Very strange that the doctor to ask about the kind of mosquito that stinged Amar.The very question he asked: “Was it a day insect or a night one?”

In saying ; this mosquito, most often “bites” me at work ; yep, during the “day”. The doctor then looked him hard in the eyes. “Aedes aegypti”. He gazed , then took his pen to prescribe him the medication to the “new fever”.Ya, the “Dengue”!

Hey! Keep your “net” erected at the day hours more than at night.This new fever is so fatal. It kills. It has very severe complications and a shoting up kind of fever and temperature.
