Inauguration of a Major Winter Emergency and Disease Vector Control Unit in the Localities of Bahri and East Nile

The Ministry of Health in Khartoum State announced the launch of a major winter emergency and disease vector control unit that will be inaugurated on Tuesday, in the Greater Bahri locality. This initiative targets the seven localities of the state under the supervision of the Minister in Charge and Care, Ahmed Osman Hamza, and the honor of Lieutenant General Engineer Corner, Advisor Ibrahim Jaber, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Preparation of the Environment for the Return of Citizens to the State.

I received comprehensive enlightenment during the expanded meeting held today with the directors of the departments of emergency, epidemic control, preventive medicine, and health promotion.

Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman stressed the importance of the continuity of routine work to eliminate vectors and ensure environmental sanitation, pointing out that the return of citizens to their areas in the state contributes to sanitation and the recovery of the environment. He emphasized that the report shows the extent of the ministry’s readiness to welcome the new year 2026 by continuing to combat epidemics and diseases.

Dr. Mohamed Hassan, Director of the General Directorate of Preventive Medicine, explained that the grand parade will start on Tuesday morning from “Association Square” in Shambat locality and will continue for 15 days with the participation of all localities, including cadres and spraying mechanisms, as well as providing mobility.
