The Training and Studies Council approves new policies and regulations for training and research

The meeting of the Training and Postgraduate Studies Council was held today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State after its reauthorization by Administrative Decision No. (142) of 2025, chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Health and the Minister in Designate, Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin.

The meeting discussed the approval of general policies and regulations for training and research, in addition to the strategic plan and the annual plan of the department. The Council also reviewed the standards for training health cadres and the specifications of training institutions, and determined training and postgraduate strategies for various health and administrative cadres.

Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin stressed that planning and training are the basis for the success of the Ministry’s outputs, explaining that activating planning and training work and rationalizing the management of financial resources represent an important step that enhances the Ministry’s performance and supports the efforts to provide health services, especially in the fields of emergencies and epidemics.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Awad Al-Karim, Director of the General Directorate of Training and Research, explained that the aim of establishing the Training and Postgraduate Studies Council is to establish an official umbrella that organizes, develops and improves training, research and postgraduate programs in the health sector in the state.

Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Director of the General Directorate of the Strategy, confirmed that the adoption of the new policies and regulations represents a qualitative leap in the organization of the health training process in the state.
