The Citizen /

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Moussa, praised the armed forces and other regular forces and mobilizers for the great victories achieved on various fronts and the defeat of the rebel Rapid Support Militia. He condemned, in the strongest terms, the deliberate violations committed by the rebel militia against unarmed civilians in the city of El Fasher, wishing that the city would soon return to the bosom of the homeland and that our people would be protected in Fasher, and that security and stability would prevail in our beloved country.

This came when he addressed the meeting of the directors of public universities, which was held in person in the hall of his temporary office in the city of Port Sudan and Esfiriya for university directors from outside Port Sudan.

Prof. Mudawi stressed that this meeting is of great importance at this time, when the ministry is preparing for the beginning of the new academic year in universities. He expressed his hope that higher education institutions will overcome the adversities and challenges that the country has gone through, moving towards wider horizons of stability, reconstruction of what was destroyed by the rebel militia, and the completion of the educational process.

He emphasized that the Ministry has developed a comprehensive plan aimed at reconstruction, the operation and stability of higher education institutions, capacity building, quality assurance, and accreditation locally, regionally, and globally.
