Stockholder Meeting for project implemention review Convenes

The Federal Ministry of Health (MOH) has reiterated its unequivocal commitment to rehabilitating and improving hospitals, especially those damaged by the war, revealing the complementarity of efforts between the National Hospital Support Project, which includes 40 hospitals, and Sudan Health Assistance and Response in Emergencies SHARE Project , which targets 10 key hospitals. The ministry stressed that these steps represent a fundamental intervention to enhance the “resilience of the health system” and its ability to move from the stage of emergency preparedness to the stage of sustainable recovery.
This came during the meeting of partners to review the implementation of the (SHARE) project, which was held on Saturday at the “Rabwa” Hotel in Port Sudan, in the presence of leaders of the Federal Ministry of Health, directors of state ministries of health, representatives of targeted hospitals, and a delegation of the World Health Organization.
The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Babiker Syed Ahmed, described the hospitals as “the mirror of the health system”, stressing that they faced harsh conditions during the war that ranged from systematic destruction to looting and looting.
Dr. Sayed Ahmed affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting operating hospitals that have borne a double burden as a result of the waves of displacement, in parallel with a plan to restart the suspended hospitals to enhance the stability of citizens in their areas.
The Director of the General Directorate of Therapeutic Medicine, Dr. Haider Mohamed Abdel Nabi, explained that the meeting aims to assess the challenges to maximize the benefit of the project. He pointed out that SHARE is an extension of the Ministry’s continuous interventions, stressing that the project has achieved tangible successes on the ground, and expressing the Ministry’s aspiration to conclude more strategic partnerships.

In the same context, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Director of Othman Daqna Hospital in the Red Sea State and a representative of hospital directors, explained that the project represents a lifeline to address the worsening challenges, especially the lack of resources and the lack of funding needed to maintain high-cost medical devices.
