Modern Water Quality and Safety Testing Devices with International Support Launches

The Ministry of Health in Khartoum State launched today a batch of devices specialized in water quality and safety testing, as part of the Rapid Response Project to Reduce Diseases in War-Affected Areas, with the support of LM International, in cooperation with the Humanitarian Aid Commission in the state, and funded by the Sudanese Humanitarian Fund (SHF).

The inauguration was in the presence of Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State, Dr. Abdulhakim Naqd, Technical Advisor to the Ministry, Dr. Mohamed Al-Hassan Omar, Director of the General Directorate of Preventive Medicine, Dr. Waleed, and Dr. Adam Osman Ali, representative of LM International.

Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman Mohammed, Director General, expressed the Ministry’s appreciation to the supporting organizations, stressing that preventive work is a key priority at the current stage, and that the new devices will contribute significantly to enhancing efforts to ensure water and food safety. He said, “We pray to God that security and peace prevail throughout the country, and we appreciate the support provided, which enhances our capabilities in monitoring water quality.”

Dr. Mohammed Al-Hassan, Director of the General Directorate of Preventive Medicine, explained that the devices will be distributed to the localities of the state, as they represent real support for water health programs, and Dr. Adam Othman Ali, representative of LM International, confirmed that the devices provided with the support of the Humanitarian Fund and the World Children’s Fund are of high quality and will support activities to improve water safety.
