Khartoum Governor Affirms Pilgrims’ Feedback as a Foundation for Improving Hajj Mission Performance in Future Seasons

Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, affirmed the government’s commitment to improving Hajj services and enabling pilgrims to perform the rituals with ease and comfort. He noted that pilgrims’ feedback is a fundamental pillar for enhancing performance and addressing shortcomings in future seasons.

This came during an evaluation workshop held at the Omdurman Cultural Center, attended by a number of officials. The governor explained that the Hajj season was affected by the war and the loss of some essential services. He emphasized the efforts to overcome challenges and strengthen coordination with the General Secretariat for Hajj to improve accommodation, transportation, and catering, with special attention to the elderly and people with disabilities.

The governor directed a review of electronic payment mechanisms and the criteria for selecting Hajj group leaders to ensure efficiency and transparency, praising the efforts of the state’s Hajj and Umrah Secretariat in ensuring the success of the season.

For his part, the Secretary of the Secretariat, Samir Ali Al-Jizouli, confirmed the preparation of an early plan for the upcoming Hajj season, which includes developing services and enhancing the efficiency of staff. He noted that the state facilitated the travel of 1,296 pilgrims this year, all of whom returned safely.

Several pilgrims also offered their observations and suggestions, commending the state’s efforts in organizing the season despite the ongoing war.
