Dr. Nuwara Addresses Solidarity Gathering in Support of El Fasher at Red Sea University

Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohammed Mohammed Tahir, a member of the Sovereignty Council, affirmed that the state will exert every effort to liberate El Fasher, protect civilians, and provide relief to those affected. She stated that El Fasher will recover and return to the embrace of the nation as a symbol of resilience and an emblem of peace and dignity. She emphasized that victory is imminent under a unified army and leadership defending the homeland and preserving Sudan’s sovereignty.

Speaking at a solidarity rally in support of El Fasher, organized by the Red Sea University at its campus in Port Sudan, she added that there are four national and humanitarian principles that cannot be compromised: protecting civilians as a sacred duty and an inalienable right; ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid and relief to all those in need; documenting all violations to guarantee justice and prevent impunity; and preserving the unity, sovereignty, and independence of Sudan’s national decision-making, which is a red line that cannot be crossed.

Dr. Nuwara emphasized that Sudan will not be divided and will remain united and strong, with its people and their faith, and will not be fragmented.

She noted that the world witnessed the extent of the suffering and attacks on innocent civilians after El Fasher remained defiant, steadfast, and proud for more than 500 days, yet its people never lost faith in their homeland or their confidence in God’s victory and the justice of their cause.
