WHO Delegation Continues the Evaluation of the Surveillance and Investigation System of the EPI

The WHO delegation to the Eastern Mediterranean Region, accompanied by a number of national experts, continued the evaluation of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) screening system in several states, including the North, the River Nile, the Red Sea, Gedaref, White Nile, Blue Nile, Sennar, and Khartoum, in addition to Kassala.
The Director of the General Directorate of Basic Health Care in charge of the Federal Ministry of Health, Ismail Al-Adani, said in a press statement today that the delegations have been visiting the states since last Friday, and that their work will continue until after tomorrow, Tuesday. He noted that the work started from the presidency of each state by meeting with the directors general of the ministries of health, then selecting a local representative in each state, followed by a number of centers designated for immunization services , pointing to evaluation teams for the states of North and South Kordofan in addition to West Darfur.
