UAE Accused of Supporting RSF in Sudan with British Weapons

A new report to the UN Security Council has revealed that British military equipment found on the battlefronts in Sudan was used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary militia accused of committing genocide against civilians.

This revelation comes at a time when Sudan is experiencing one of the world’s largest humanitarian disasters. The death toll has exceeded 150,000, the conflict has forced more than 12 million to flee their homes, and approximately 25 million people are suffering from severe famine.

Documents reviewed by the Security Council indicate the discovery of small arms training systems and British-made engines for armored vehicles used by the Rapid Support Forces, refocusing attention on British arms exports to the United Arab Emirates, which has been repeatedly accused of supplying weapons to Sudanese militias.
