The Federal Emergency Operations Center reviews the health situation in the country

The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Babiker, praised the work of the Emergency Operations Center and its progress in light of the ongoing emergency, directing more effective mechanisms. He explained that the 41st week witnessed a decrease in dengue infection rates, along with an increase in malaria incidence rates.

This came during meeting No. (112) of the Federal Emergency Operations Center, which was held on Tuesday at its headquarters at the Federal Ministry of Health in Khartoum. The meeting reviewed the health situation in the country and the interventions implemented by the various departments during the 41st week.

The Undersecretary pointed out the need to increase interventions in the fight against disease vectors, the provision of aids, laboratory examinations, and the supply of medicines, directing federal coordination with the relevant authorities , Pointing to communication with the Federal Ministry of Finance and partners to provide aid for the campaign to combat disease vectors and work to bridge the gaps, he explained that the campaign contributes to reducing the incidence of dengue fever and malaria.

The Undersecretary revealed increases during the coming week for the states to identify challenges, work on early preparedness, and find strategic and urgent solutions. The Undersecretary called on the governors of the states to support the campaigns to control the vectors while the routine work of control continues.

The report on the health situation in Khartoum State announced a decrease in the incidence of dengue fever following interventions from home inspections and health promotion.
