Prof. Mudawi Stresses the Importance of Non-Governmental Education

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Moussa, stressed that the private and foreign higher education sector is one of the main pillars of the educational and developmental renaissance in Sudan, due to the variety of educational options it offers and the innovative academic opportunities that contribute to building a qualified generation capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the times. This came when he met with Dr. Abu Bakr Mustafa, Chairman of the Council of the Future University, in the presence of Mr. Ali Al-Sheikh Al-Samani, Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abdulqader Mohamed Hassan, Director of the General Directorate of Private and Foreign Higher Education, and Dr. Murtada Ali Othman, Director of the Ministerial Executive Office.

The Minister called for enhancing integration and cooperation between higher education institutions in order to serve the interest of students and the country, stressing that the Ministry’s vision is based on supporting educational diversity, encouraging innovation in academic programs, and adopting flexible policies that contribute to raising the quality of education and linking its outcomes to the needs of the labor market.

Dr. Abubakar Mustafa expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for his continuous interest in the development of private higher education and his increasing support for its institutions. Dr. Abubakar stressed that Future University is working to develop its academic programs and educational curricula in line with the requirements of the local, regional, and international labor market.
