Ministry of Culture and Information reveals a planned spoofing campaign run by external chambers targeting the ministry’s work and activities

The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism revealed in a press release that it wishes to clarify to the Sudanese public that it is aware of a planned spoofing campaign run by external chambers and paid entities targeting the ministry’s work and activities.

However, a fair-minded observer of the Ministry’s vigor and activity—just yesterday—through the issuance of five consecutive statements to enlighten public opinion, the participation of the Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism in a television briefing, and the holding of a press conference organized by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) for the National Committee for Lifting the Siege on El Fasher, in addition to other media-related activities, the details of which are known only to a few, will realize that these paid campaigns are empty of content and are merely attempts by the stubborn, paid, agents, and mercenaries to throw dust in the eyes and advance their criminal agendas, including the killing of innocent civilians in both Bara and El Fasher.

The Ministry affirms that it is too strong to be undermined by cyberspace or agents and mercenaries, and it will continue its approach to dismantling the agendas of foreign powers, mercenaries, and agents until the moment of great victory over the militias and their proxy forces.

It also clarifies that the role of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism is to report current events. It is not responsible for issuing statements about military or field activities or other events, as is generally accepted worldwide regarding the role of the media and journalist. This is in accordance with its powers defined by the government. Such statements are issued by the competent authorities based on the state’s supreme interest and security conditions, and after review by the relevant authorities.

The statements issued by the Ministry are solely the result of its own specialized efforts. The Ministry’s mission is to report information and events, not to fabricate field, military, or other events, as is generally accepted worldwide regarding the role of the media and journalist.
