Joint session of the UN and African Security Councils in Addis Ababa on Friday

The UN Security Council and the African Peace and Security Council will hold a joint consultation session in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on Friday.

The official consultation session will be preceded by preparatory meetings for experts from both councils to prepare for the upcoming meeting.

According to an informed diplomatic source, the joint Friday meeting is an annual consultative meeting between the African Peace and Security Council and the United Nations Security Council, representing the (19)th edition. It is held annually to discuss various conflict issues in Africa in all its regions, including Sudan.

It is expected that the war in Sudan will receive significant discussion and deliberations during the upcoming joint session.
