Editorial: He who does not have something cannot give it

Presidential Advisor to the United Arab Emirates, Anwar Gargash called for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan, stressing that the country’s future must be governed by civilian, not military, leadership.

Gargash, during his participation in the Gulf Summit organized by Reuters under the title “Reuters NEXT,” made provocative statements to Sudanese circles, stating that the UAE is the main supporter of the Rapid Support Forces militia.

Gargash emphasized that a political solution in Sudan cannot be achieved through military rule, but rather requires a clear transition to a comprehensive civilian authority.

This call comes while the UAE is the main supporter of the RSF militia in its war against the Sudanese nation.

It is surprising that Dr. Anwar Gargash speaks of “civilian rule” in Sudan, while his country has yet to experience the most basic principles of political participation or the peaceful transfer of power.

Sudan is a country with a long history of struggle for freedom and justice, and has provided lessons to the world in popular revolutions and peaceful change.

We believe that Sudanese affairs concern the Sudanese alone, and that the path to true civilian rule stems from the will of the people, not from foreign dictates.

Sudan is confidently moving toward a state of justice and institutions, despite all attempts of disruption and interference.
