WHO: Health Insurance is an Artery for Financing and Providing Services

The Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, Dr. Farouk Nour-Al-Daem, described the Fund’s partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) as strategic. During a meeting with the leaders of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the participation of the directors of the NHIF branches, he announced the NHIF’s participation in the Strategic Workshop for Health announced by the Federal Minister of Health in order to unify visions for the reform of the health system and the resolution of the roles of the components of the health system. Dr. Nour Al-Daem praised WHO’s operation of primary health care centers through its support for the treatment of displaced people and host families with free medicines and laboratories in stable states. In turn, the leaders of the World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed their readiness to support the National Health Insurance Fund.
