The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs Affirms its Support for Sudan

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research، Professor Ahmed Mudawi Musa, , met today with Ms. Artie Hola Mina, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. He thanked the Office for its recent support to the country and expressed Sudan’s aspiration for the Office’s support, particularly in the reconstruction of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Seismology and the Space and Aviation Research Institute, affiliated with the National Research Council, and the development of their human resources.
This came on the sidelines of the Minister’s participation in the meetings of the 69th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.
For her part, Ms. Artie affirmed the Office’s readiness to support reconstruction efforts through the Office’s two regional centers in Morocco and Nigeria, linking national institutions with their counterparts in developed countries, and providing scholarships and training for Sudanese experts and researchers.
