The Second National Project Review Meeting launches in Kassala

The Second National Project Review Meeting and Sudan Health Assistance Response to Emergencies (SHARE) has been launched in Kassala, and will conclude on Thursday.

The Director of the Universal Health Coverage Department at the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Assem Othman, said that the meeting is part of the monitoring and evaluation tools of the (SHARE) project, which contributes to supporting services in primary health care centers, hoping for a strong intervention on the societal dimension, pointing to another dimension of the project represented in the new technical additions in the reports.

The representative of UNICEF, Mr. Abu Obaida Al-Siddique, noted the possibility of achieving unprecedented achievements by reaching areas that were deprived of services despite the challenges facing Sudan, adding that the project is not just a response but a strategic body to provide services until the situation stabilizes, and then added that the joint efforts remain the lifeline, expressing his appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Health.

For his part, the National Coordinator of the (SHARE) project at the Ministry, Dr. Abdel Azim Ali, revealed that SHARE covers 420 health institutions in the 18 states, with 20-25 institutions in each state, and that the meeting aims to identify the challenges it faced during the past period to address them to ensure the provision of service packages in this number of institutions, the stabilization of cadres, and the operation of the community component of 1,200 cadres, noting that the conclusion will witness the enlightenment of the applications and the launch of their use.
