Governor of the Blue Nile Region Praises the Role of National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF)

The Governor of the Blue Nile Region, Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, praised the role of the National Insurance Fund during his meeting in his office with a delegation from the Federal Health Insurance Authority. He acknowledged the growing role of health insurance in light of the difficult circumstances that the region has faced, especially regarding health services.
The governor emphasized the need to focus on the region in particular and stressed the necessity of moving forward with the completion of the diagnostic surgical complex in Al-Rusayras. He also highlighted the importance of localizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and CT scan machines so that citizens do not have to travel outside the state in search of these services.
Dr. Al-Siddiq Wahballah, Director of the General Directorate of Health Services, which is headed by the National Health Insurance Fund and is also the head of the Federal Supervision Team, thanked the Governor and his government for receiving the IDPs. He stated that the regional branch has achieved high recovery rates, reaching 88%, which is considered a significant recovery rate. He also mentioned that the returnee coverage program has contributed to providing protection for 70,000 families.
Dr. Siddiq appealed to the governor under the auspices of the Health Coordination Council in the region and conveyed greetings to the Director General, assuring him that he is arranging for a visit this month.
Abu Bakr Al-Siddique, Director of Health Insurance in the Blue Nile Region, expressed his gratitude to the Governor for his support of health insurance. He confirmed that coordination with the Ministry of Health is at a high level.
Today, a spraying campaign was implemented in partnership, and it was stated that the recommendations from the visit of the MP were submitted to the Director General, who committed to their implementation and announced the entry of 50 thousand families of returnees, in addition to the previous 70 thousand.
