Sudan Chairs Meetings of the Council of Arab Central Banks and Monetary Institutions Governors in Tunisia

The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Burei Al-Siddiq, will chair the 49th regular session of the Council of Arab Central Banks and Monetary Institutions Governors, which will be held on September 17 and 18, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Tunis. The session will be held under the patronage of Tunisian President Kais Saied and organized by the Arab Monetary Fund in cooperation with the Central Bank of Tunisia.

The meetings will be attended by governors of Arab central banks and monetary institutions, along with representatives of Arab and international financial institutions. This session is considered one of the most prominent platforms for coordination on monetary and financial policies in the Arab region.

The meetings, chaired by the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, will discuss a number of strategic issues, most notably: enhancing the response of central banks to pressures and shocks arising from trade wars, enhancing the resilience of cybersecurity in the financial sector, following up on the launch of the comprehensive instant payments initiative in the Arab region, reviewing financial stability reports and the unified Arab economic report for 2025, along with plans by Arab task forces specializing in banking supervision, financial inclusion, and modern financial technologies.
