Sovereignty Council mourns martyrs of Al-Daraja Mosque in El Fasher

Head and members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council mourn the martyrs of Al-Daraja Mosque in El Fasher, who were performing the dawn prayer and were targeted by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia with a drone. More than 70 people were killed in a crime that shames humanity.

Head and members of the Sovereignty Council, in mourning these martyrs, are mourning for the Sudanese people a group of defenseless and righteous citizens who answered the call of their Lord while in a house of God.

This criminal militia has become accustomed to targeting civilians, showing little concern for human rights organizations and ignoring regional and international conventions that criminalize the targeting of civilians, their facilities, and their infrastructure.

Targeting civilians without justification is the norm for this rebel militia. It has continued to do so in full view of the entire world.

May Allah have mercy on the martyrs and accept them with good acceptance, and may Allah heal the wounded and injured… To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
