A training workshop on capacity building to increase routine vaccination coverage

The Federal Ministry of Health, represented by the Health Promotion Department and the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), in cooperation with the Patient Assistance Fund and with the support of UNICEF, concluded on Friday at the Al Reyah Al Tarifi Hotel in Kassala the four-day capacity-building workshop in the field of human-centered design to increase routine vaccination coverage.

The Director of the Expanded Immunization Program, Ismail Al-Adani, said that the workshop was different in the way it was managed and that a huge amount of work was done, which contributes to reducing the incidence of diseases that can be prevented by vaccination, through two axes: the availability of the service and its use. Then he said, “By going down to the localities, we are going in the right direction,” praising the trainer Hassanein Ismail.

The Acting Director of Health Promotion, Tawad Abdullah Al-Khader, noted thatthe workshop targeted the reinforcement and immunization staff in the states of Kassala, the northern River Nile , as the first stage, to be followed by the second phase after tomorrow, Sunday, in three other states, thanking UNICEF and the Patient Assistance Fund for their support and support.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Patient Assistance Fund, Dr. Omar Awad Al-Karim, stressed that everyone faces a great responsibility under the emergency conditions in the country, expressing his happiness with the partnership with government agencies, including health, and in partnership with organizations, which is in the interest of the citizen.

On behalf of UNICEF, Mohammed Ahmed Abu Al-Qasim stressed that planning with people contributes to increasing effectiveness and at the lowest cost, reiterating the commitment to mobilizing society and changing behavior, especially under emergency conditions.

The representative of the participants, Mohammed Qasim Yaqoub, considered the workshop a real addition, and the acquisition of many skills that brought about a change in ideas and visions, and thus led to a change in positive behavior in society.
The conclusion witnessed the distribution of certificates to the participants.
