Head and Members of the Sovereignty Council Mourn the Nazir of the Halanga Tribes

Head and Members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council mourn, before God Almighty, the Nazir of the Halanga Tribes in eastern Sudan, Murad Jaafar Shikilay, who passed away due to a short illness.

In mourning him, the Sovereignty Council mourns for the Sudanese people one of the most prominent leaders of the native administration in eastern Sudan, and a dedicated patriot who contributed to strengthening humanitarian, community, and social work and supporting national unity through initiatives that promote dialogue and peaceful and societal coexistence.

With his passing, the nation loses a stature of political, community, and native administration in eastern Sudan.

May God have mercy on the deceased and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
