Al-Burhan Meets with Sudanese Intellectuals, Media Professionals, and Businessmen in Qatar

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, met with a number of Sudanese intellectuals, media professionals, intellectuals, and businessmen in the sisterly state of Qatar at the Sudanese Embassy in Doha.
This meeting took place on the sidelines of his participation in the Arab-Islamic Summit, which recently concluded in the Qatari capital.
The meeting addressed the overall situation in Sudan in light of the war for national dignity waged by the Sudanese people alongside their armed forces.
Al-Burhan expressed his thanks and appreciation to the sisterly State of Qatar, both government and people, appreciating its honorable stances toward the Sudanese people.
He affirmed Sudan’s support for Qatar in confronting the Israeli aggression.
Lieutenant General Al-Burhan provided a detailed overview of the situation in Sudan, stating that Sudan is waging a fateful war for the honor and dignity of the Sudanese people.
He pointed to the great victories achieved by the armed forces and their supporting forces on all fronts of operations.
He added that this would not have happened without the people’s support for the armed forces and their deep belief in the army’s ability to defeat the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia.
He stated that the government is open to any efforts aimed at stopping the war, provided that the country’s sovereignty and unity are preserved and its national institutions are safeguarded. He added, “We cannot mortgage our sovereignty to any country, regardless of our relationship with it.” His Excellency reiterated the state’s commitment to protecting and caring for all who lay down their arms and side with the national cause.
He added, “Any opposition politician who comes to their senses will find the political arena welcoming.”
He made it clear that the Sudanese people will win their existential war against this rebel militia, adding, “We will not lay down our weapons until we lift the siege on El Fasher, Zalingei, Babanusa, and every inch tainted by the rebellion.”
Lieutenant General Al-Burhan expressed his thanks and appreciation to the armed forces, the regular forces, the joint forces, and the popular resistance in all their forms.
His Excellency listened to some of the visions and ideas presented by the meeting participants, all of which aimed to strengthen Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. He also pledged to support and back the armed forces in the war of dignity until the nation is cleansed of the terrorist RSF militia.
