Al-Burhan Meets Emir of the State of Qatar

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, met with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha.

The meeting addressed bilateral relations and the prospects for joint cooperation between Sudan and Qatar.

Al-Burhan briefed the Emir of Qatar on developments in Sudan, noting that the Sudanese and Qatari peoples share deep-rooted ties.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim, affirmed Qatar’s support for Sudan and its unity, security, stability, and territorial integrity.

He emphasized that his country looks forward to establishing peace and stability in Sudan as soon as possible.
