With the support of the WHO , launching of the delivery of medicines and medical equipment

The Federal Ministries of Health and Kassala State inaugurated today the delivery of medicines and medical equipment, as part of the project to support basic health care services and nutrition wards for war-affected communities, provided by the World Health Organization.

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Kassala State, Dr. Ali Adam, revealed in a press statement that the support is provided to ten hospitals and 6 basic health care centers, describing the equipment and medicines as valuable and helped to provide services to citizens, praising the World Health Organization in providing the second support to the Ministry.

The representative of the Federal General Directorate of Basic Health Care, Tayseer Al-Sadiq, said that the project to support basic health care services and nutrition wards for war-affected communities targets 60 health institutions in ten states, and reflects the depth of partnership and fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, and embodies the joint commitment to enhance access to basic health care services, especially in light of the challenges facing IDPs and host communities in the most needy areas.

Hussein Ahmed Attia from the World Health Organization (WHO) , stressed that the organization is honored to be a supporter for health, the most important of which are the basic health projects by providing technical and logistical support, in addition to the nutrition project by supporting standard treatment centers in hospitals, as well as among the projects that have been supported today are medicines related to psychological support, and other projects.
