US Secretary of State Discusses Sudanese Issues with His British and French Counterparts

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed several issues of mutual interest, including the Sudanese issue, separately with his British and French counterparts.

Rubio and his British counterpart, David Lamy, discussed efforts to reach a solution to the ongoing war in Sudan.

According to a press release issued today (Tuesday) by US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce, Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke yesterday (Monday) with British Foreign Secretary David Lamy and discussed, among other topics, the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

The press release stated that the two ministers also discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza and efforts to reach a ceasefire and return the hostages to their homes.

In a related development, Tammy Bruce said that Secretary Marco Rubio called his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, and they discussed a number of issues related to security in the Middle East and the conflict in Sudan.

The spokesperson added in a press release today (Tuesday) that Rubio and French Foreign Minister Barrot affirmed their commitment to ensuring that Iran does not develop or acquire a nuclear weapon.

They also discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza and efforts to reach a ceasefire, end the war between Russia and Ukraine, achieve peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
