The Prime Minister inspects Sohanda Feeding Shelter, accompanied by the Governor of Khartoum and the Federal Minister of Health

Within the framework of promoting the values of social solidarity and supporting humanitarian initiatives, the Sudanese Prime Minister, Dr. Kamel Idris, paid an inspection visit to the Sohanda Feeding Shelter, accompanied by the Governor of Khartoum State, Mr. Ahmed Osman Hamza, and the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim.

This visit comes in support of the slogan “Whoever is good to you, feed others,” emphasizing the importance of the societal role in supporting the most needy groups, especially in light of the economic and humanitarian conditions that the country is going through.

During the tour, the government delegation reviewed the progress of work inside the shelter and listened to a detailed explanation from those in charge of it about the mechanism of distributing daily meals, the number of beneficiaries, and the challenges they face.

Dr. Idris praised the efforts made, stressing the government’s support for such initiatives, which reflect the spirit of solidarity and compassion among the people of the country.

The Governor of Khartoum expressed his appreciation for the “Sohanda” initiative, calling for its expansion to include other areas within the state, while the Federal Minister of Health confirmed his ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary health support to ensure food safety and the quality of services provided.

Tkiyet Sohanda is one of the most prominent grassroots initiatives that aim to provide free meals to those in need and works with the voluntary efforts of young men and women who seek to make a real difference in society.
