The Minister of Higher Education inspects the damage caused to Sennar University

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research,Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Musa discussed the extent of the damage caused to the classrooms, facilities, and buildings at Sennar University as a result of the aggression by the rebel militia and its targeting of science and scientists.

He pointed out that the university is one of the first institutions to resume its administrative and academic work from its headquarters after the defeat of the militia in the state, praising the concerted efforts of the workers in higher education institutions to continue the educational process, especially at Sennar University.

This came when he received Prof. Abdulrahman Ahmed Mohamed Ismail, Rector of Sennar University, at his temporary office in Port Sudan, where he provided insights into the university’s efforts to continue studying. Prof. Mudawi expressed his happiness with the role of the university towards its local community, and the mutual coordination between it and the secretariat of the state government, indicating that the role of universities is not limited to teaching science alone, but to serve the community, mobilize efforts and coordinate between all its components and the state with its various agencies to advance the people of the state.

Prof. Abdulrahman Ahmed Mohamed Ismail, President of the University, congratulated Prof. Ahmed Mudawi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on his selection as Minister of Higher Education under exceptional circumstances, wishing him success and repayment, explaining the progress of the university’s academic and administrative performance, maintaining excellence, preserving and retrieving its data through the electronic system, which made the process of obtaining students’ certificates easy.
