The Board of Directors of the National Medical Supplies Fund(NMSF) in Khartoum holds its first meeting after the war

The first meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Fund for Medical Supplies was held in Khartoum after the war, where the members of the Board discussed the performance report for the half year 2025 and the outcomes of the previous meeting.
The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health and Chairman of the Council, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, expressed his gratitude to the armed forces and the forces supporting the liberation of Khartoum State, praising the return of life to government institutions, and the holding of the meeting inside the headquarters of the(NMSF) .
He also praised the Federal Ministry of Finance for putting the supply of medicines among its priorities, stressing that the Fund has performed excellently during the war period and contributed significantly to achieving pharmaceutical security, describing it as a lifeline.
The meeting dealt with several topics, most notably the development of medical supplies, the rehabilitation of warehouses in the regions, and the provision of essential medicines such as cancer, kidney and heart medicines, in addition to the inputs of surgeries, blood transfusion services, and lists of health insurance drugs, during the previous period and working to continue providing them.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health pointed to the effective role of the National Council for Drugs and Poisons in ensuring the safety and safety of medicines, in addition to encouraging the national industry and facilitating procedures to return to work from inside the country.
The (NMSF) Manager, Dr. Badreddin Al-Jazouli, revealed the launch of the electronic procurement system for the first time in Sudan and Africa, which allows suppliers to submit bids online, in addition to the e-sale service through the Al-Imdaad application. He explained that the Fund faced great challenges during the war but began to overcome them, presenting a detailed report on the Fund’s efforts, achievements and challenges, and thanking the Fund’s branch managers and partners.
The meeting stressed the importance of the national and strategic role of the Fund, the need to provide the necessary funding to ensure the continuity of the provision of medicines, especially life-saving ones. The representative of the Ministry of Finance pledged to continue support, while emphasizing that the supply of medicines should be a national priority.
