Sudanese Air Force targeted a group of Colombian mercenaries upon their arrival at Nyala Airport in a private plane

Reliable military sources reported that the Sudanese Air Force carried out a precision airstrike on the runway of Nyala Airport in South Darfur State, targeting a group of Colombian mercenaries upon their arrival in a private plane believed to have taken off from an airbase in the Gulf region.

According to the sources, the mercenaries were brought in to fight alongside the Rapid Support Forces militia as part of a “hostile” foreign plot aimed at destabilizing Sudan. They confirmed that the airstrike resulted in the deaths of dozens of them, in an operation described as “qualitative and precise.”

The sources indicated that the plane entered Sudanese airspace in coordination with the Rapid Support Forces, which control the airport, and that military intelligence was monitoring the movements in real time, enabling the strike to be carried out immediately upon landing and before the personnel had deployed.

According to the sources, this operation is a firm message from the Sudanese Armed Forces against any attempts at foreign intervention or support for mercenaries, noting that it comes within the framework of ongoing operations aimed at regaining full control over airports and vital sites in Darfur.
