Russia Affirms Support for the Sudanese Government in Preserving Its Sovereignty and Unity

Ambassador Omar Siddiq, State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met in his office this afternoon with Ambassador Andrei Chernovol, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sudan.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and advance them in all fields, particularly in the political and economic spheres.
The Russian Ambassador affirmed that his country supports the Sudanese government in its efforts to achieve security and stability and preserve its sovereignty and unity.
The State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the strong relations between Sudan and the Russian Federation and emphasized the need to develop and strengthen them in all areas.
His Excellency commended Russia’s important role in peace and security issues in Sudan and the region as a whole.
In another context, the State Minister provided a detailed explanation of the situation in Sudan, highlighting the involvement of all state institutions in monitoring the effects of the war, providing humanitarian aid to displaced persons in their areas, and addressing issues of voluntary return and reconstruction.
