Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, a member of the Sovereignty Council, salutes the efforts of the University of Khartoum

Lieutenant General Eng. Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Creation of a Suitable Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State, stressed that the current stage focuses on achieving security and providing basic services. He praised the return of higher education and scientific research institutions to their headquarters.
This came during his visit to the University of Khartoum, accompanied by Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Moussa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Health. They were received by Prof. Emad El-Din Al-Amin Ardeeb, the deans of faculties, and some faculty members. Lieutenant General Jaber explained that the Supreme Committee will continue its support to all sectors so that they can gradually return to normal, indicating that the government is making great efforts to restore life to normal in Khartoum State.
For his part, Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Moussa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, thanked the member of the Sovereignty Council for this visit and for inspecting the conditions of the university, pointing out that the biggest challenge for his ministry at this time is to ensure stability and cooperation.
explaining that the ministry’s strategic plan focuses on reconstruction, capacity building, quality assurance and accreditation, expansion of technical education, and the promotion of scientific research and innovation as a basic pillar of development.
